Terms of use

Estimate only; a licensed electrician and your local authority having jurisdiction decide; not an engineering stamp.
- CanMyPanel gives educational estimates based on our reading of published NEC methods and the values you enter. Results can be wrong because of incorrect inputs, local amendments, edition differences or our errors.
- Do not use results as the sole basis for electrical work. Hire a licensed electrician, pull the required permits and follow your AHJ.
- Do not open your electrical panel. Contact with energized parts can kill.
- The service is provided "as is", without warranties, and to the extent permitted by law we are not liable for damages arising from its use.
- PDFs, saved jobs and client links show the same estimate as the free calculator. They are not a permit approval, an engineering stamp or a statement that an installation is safe.
- NEC® and NFPA 70® are trademarks of NFPA. We are not affiliated with NFPA.
Paid plans, refunds and cancellation
- Homeowner ($9, one-time): a single payment, no subscription. If the PDF isn't useful, email [email protected] within 14 days of purchase for a full refund; a refund ends access to the paid PDF and the saved house.
- Pro electrician ($19/month) and Shop ($49/month): billed monthly in advance through Stripe until you cancel. Cancel any time under Account › Manage billing; you keep access until the end of the period already paid, and you won't be charged again. Switching between Pro and Shop is prorated by Stripe.
- We don't give partial refunds for unused time in a monthly period, except where required by law. If you were charged in error or for a month you didn't use at all, email us within 14 days and we'll refund it.
- If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it; paid features may pause until the payment succeeds. Free features never stop working.
- Shop seats belong to the Shop owner's account. When the Shop plan ends, members lose access to the shared library but keep their own free accounts.
- Prices are in USD and may change for future billing periods with at least 30 days' notice by email.
